Why I became a BNI Ambassador

I joined BNI the very same week that I formed my company, Highlights PR in 2008.
The fact that I am still a member speaks volumes as I believe that BNI works for my business and I want to help other people within the organisation to get the same results that I have from their membership.

My role as an ambassador is specialised,  what I do is get maximum media coverage for BNI Northumbria and its individual chapters through newspapers, radio, social media and TV.
My objective is clear, if I can get more people to know about BNI, more people will join and our members will all benefit.

About my business

At Highlights PR we do things differently to other “PR” agencies.

We simply get on with our passion for PR and get you into the newspapers, onto the radio, TV and all over the internet. Above all, we make sure that everybody is talking about you and your business. Unlike some others, we never guarantee that we can place a story into the media as at the end of the day, the editor ultimately decides what will be printed. We do, however, have a 97% success rate.

Why I became a BNI Ambassador

I became a BNI ambassador based on the positive, supportive and fulfilling experiences that I have had during my time as a BNI member in the Eldon Chapter, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Being involved with BNI has enabled me to develop a fantastic group of contacts both in the Eldon Chapter and across the Northumbria region, who have provided me with support on both a business and personal level.

I am a big believer in the philosophy of Givers Gain and I am delighted to be able to help promote this to other members in the region.

About my business

I am a Corporate & Events Fundraiser for local disability charity Calvert Trust Kielder.  Our mission is to enable children and adults with disabilities along with their families and friends to realise their potential through challenging outdoor activities.
In addition to organising a programme of fundraising events including an annual ball and golf day, my role is to develop corporate relationships with the Trust.  We are looking for support from local companies through fundraising, sponsorship and volunteering.

We can provide a dedicated account manager who would take the lead in supporting employees with their fundraising activities.  Our fundraising team is enthusiastic and innovative and thrive on the challenge of finding new ways to raise the much needed funds to support the Trust.

We love to welcome our supporters to the centre to encourage them to take part in the activities on offer and to see for themselves the amazing work we do.

Why I became a BNI Ambassador

I was asked to take on the Ambassador role earlier this year as I entered my sixth year of BNI membership. BNI has helped me in several ways, not only has it increased my level of sales and customer base it has provided me with a support network and the ability to present my business with confidence in many situations. To me BNI is very simple and ‘Givers Gain’ is the best way to sum the organisation up, if you stick to the BNI basics, make an active positive contribution within your chapter and beyond, you will see the rewards. I hope to use my role as BNI Ambassador to help newer members get the most from their membership and re-affirm with longer standing members that BNI requires a constant effort and participation in order to receive constant results.

Why I became a BNI Ambassador

I was honoured when approached to become a regional Ambassador for BNI. Networking not only changed my business but changed my life. I now have contacts in every sector than I can pick up the phone and have a conversation with as though I'd known them for years! I am passionate about relationship-building in our region and beyond and have truly found that the more I put into BNI, the more I get out.

I love to spread this message to the non-BNI'ers I meet and I also love to help my fellow members wherever possible by offering advice, guidance and education on the BNI system and how to really get the most out of it. After all, we all became members to make more money for our businesses, so we might as well make a damn good job of it!

Why I became an Ambassador

Since joining BNI in early 2011 the help support from my fellow members in Trevelyan chapter has helped me to grow my business. I became a BNI ambassador because I would like to pass on some of the things I have learned to the other members in other chapters to help them.  This will also help to raise the profile of my own business.

About my business

AB Decorators was established in 2004 with the aim of providing a quality decorating service to homes and businesses throughout the North East. We work hard to ensure we meet deadlines while delivering quality results in each project we undertake. Any materials we provide will be recognised premium brands such as McPherson’s, Crown and Dulux purchased from approved decorators centres.

All of our work comes with a minimum 6 month guarantee against defective materials or workmanship. We carry full Public & Employer Liability Insurance.

All decoration works are carried out by fully qualified (NVQ Level 3) Painters and Decorators. We are also a registered member of the painting and decorating association.
