BNI Parksides Fancy Dress Business Meeting to Help Children In Need

In support of Children in Need, Sara Gration Chapter Director for BNI Parkside encouraged everyone to come to this weeks meeting in Fancy Dress. The twist? To present their 60 seconds in the character they were representing.

Amongst the special guests at this weeks meeting: Sherlock Holmes , James Bond, Batman, 2 Pirates, Dorothy with ToTo, Spiderman, Snow White, A Star Wars Stormtrooper, 2 American Guests an American GI and Pro Footballer, Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice, a 20s Flapper, a Thief, a Knight of Old, a Punk, Wheres Wally and Ron from The Management. 2 Visiting members from other chapters included Stu  (Press Photographer) Mullarkey and Phil (Can-Can girl) Cresswell. Phil remarked that he wasnt coming back to Parkside again, its too boring.

The 10  minutes this week was delivered by Paul (Ghostbuster) Gayton. The highlight of which was Paul singing the theme song from the film Ghostbusters, where the members instead of shouting Ghostbusters sang  who you gonna call ?  Wren Accountants.

Unfortunately the chapter won't be able to welocme its guests in quite the same way every week.

In addition to the 43 referrals passed by the chapter this week, the chapter were pleased to be able to welcome in a new member Gandalf, aka Martin Brown, Infiniti Photograpy.

Plus, remembering the cause, £250 was donated by the chapter to Children in need.

The article appeared  in Saturdays issue of the Derby Telegraph.
